FDM ist ein kostenloser Download Manager und steht seit Version 2.5 unter der GPL. FDM beherrscht u.a. das Unterbrechen und Wiederaufnehmen von Downloads, den Download von Flash Videos, eine BitTorrent-Unterstützung, das Hochladen von Dateien, Gruppeneinteilungen (zB Musik, Software, usw.), einen Zeitplaner und den portablen Modus.
